The Child Brain Injury Trust is the leading voluntary sector organisation providing emotional and practical support, information and learning opportunities for families and professionals affected by childhood acquired brain injury across the UK.
The Child Brain Injury Trust wanted video content to accompany and boost their first ever crowdfunding campaign to fund more of their essential ABI Co-ordintaors.
We started off with several deep dive meetings with the team at CBIT. This included finding out more about the work they do, what they wanted to achieve with the crowdfunder, what the key messaging was and who the audience was. After this we helped to choose who would be best on camera by interviewing several nurses and families.
Before, during and after the filming we liased with the storytellers to make sure that they completely comfortable and informed about what was happening. We filmed over two days to make sure that the storytellers had the space they needed to tell their full and authentic story.
From the two days of shooting we created one main film, a film with a strong donation ask, a film that focused on the impact that the nurses have and one that told the families story. We also provided stills that could be used as part of the campaign.
The charity also wanted to have user-generated content that could be used as part of the campaign. We delivered an online workshop for CBIT staff on how to capture content using their phones and held one-to-one session with a few families who were keen to share their stories. With our support, they captured content which was then sent onto us to edit. From this we created a montage style film and one that shared Harry’s story.
The campaign is still live but has already raised over £45k
