Jude’s Story, Dementia UK

Dementia UK are the specialist dementia nursing charity that is there for the whole family. Their nurses, known as Admiral Nurses, provide free, life-changing support and advice to anyone affected by dementia.

The Brief

A case study style film, telling the story of someone with young onset dementia and how it impacts them and their family.

The Process

We worked with Dementia UK to find someone who could tell their story. We spoke to Jude and her family several times before the shoot to decide when and how she wanted to be filmed. We decided to shoot over two days so that Jude could have time to rest if needed. Jude led on the content of the film and how she wanted to come across.

The Results

The film was viewed thousands of time on social media,. Jude was thrilled with the film and was really pleased that she could share her story.

I felt that Jude’s personality and positivity absolutely shone through. It had a really uplifting feel, despite the dementia aspect, which I thought was lovely. And the stills are wonderful too. I wanted to give Jude, Becky and Johnty a thank you present and I can see a framed photo gift coming their way!”
