Our 10 Year Anniversary Project, Hatch

Hatch support underrepresented entrepreneurs to develop the knowledge, confidence and skills needed to launch and grow a business.

The brief

Hatch wanted to create a film that celebrated their 10 year anniversary. They wanted this film to focus on the people that they support and to enthuse others to want to support their work for the next 10 years.

The process

We worked with the charity to identify the key messaging, audiences and style for the film. We knew that we wanted to get a good mix of founders from across the UK to tell their stories, so we worked with Hatch to identify a list of potential storytellers.

We then spoke to over 15 founders to ask about the impact Hatch had on their business and who could bring the key message to life in the most authentic way.
From these conversations, we decided to shoot with Albert and Sylvia. We coached another three founders to capture footage using their phones.

Everyone featured decided how and where they wanted to be filmed. They had ownership over their story and how it was depicted.
As well as featuring the founders, we wanted to shoot with the team to get their voice as part of the project. We filmed in the offices, ensuring that nothing ever felt static.
From this shoot, we created three films and a range of stills for Hatch to use in the future.

The Results

The films are being released as part of the anniversary celebrations.
