ICR asked us to design and deliver a comprehensive content creation training programme that would empower their team to confidently produce high-quality, platform-ready content. The aim was to build a 360-degree understanding of the content workflow from shaping strategic briefs for different audience segments, to maximising filming opportunities across channels, to crafting polished edits suitable for multiple platforms. The programme needed to allow for practical learning and time for reflection, exploration and feedback.
With a practical, hands-on approach that mirrored the organisation’s real-world needs, the programme started with two live, online training sessions focused on mastering mobile filming fundamentals, developing confidence in supporting contributors on camera, and understanding technical setups and troubleshooting. Participants were then provided with pre-recorded training which guided through the ClipChamp editing interface, learning techniques to elevate their output at their own pace. We scheduled a few weeks between training delivery and a final ‘Review and Troubleshoot’ online session to allow participants to put their learning into practice and uploaded content created for our team of professionals to review and give feedback on. This pause allowed participants to put their learning into practice whilst having an opportunity to further engage with our trainers with their real life scenarios.
Grounded in an honest, accessible tone and rooted in doing the work rather than overcomplicating it, the programme encouraged experimentation, refinement, and peer learning. Through tackling real filming challenges, sharing best practices, and building purpose-driven content, the team left equipped to create impactful stories that resonate with their audiences and amplify the organisation’s work.
